American Gothic

I am now almost 100% sure that my American Gothic teacher is/was a goth. This may seem obvious, but it ain't. My other teacher on the English Gothic does not seem to have a clue other than knowing goths wear black and like Tim Burton. So here.

Needless to say this makes me feel self-conscious every time I say something in class. It has been three years out of the undergraduate world and I can feel it. Damn.

Going back was for me, if not hard, definetely awkward. I say "fuck that noise" and befriend that awesome teacher (who of course was a goth in her teenage years, and of the "I wax my eyebrows" variety, I'm sure).

Here we are, creating a whole mythology around her, and what if she actually just enjoyed german Schlager and Scooter, huh? THAT would be awkward.

Thank you for your kind words, homie.

You just left me speechless! If this is the case she has made a spectacular recovery.

Think about it, it may just be that she saw Ghost as a kid and loved it so much she became obsessed with romantic spirits!!
